Synopsis: During the Black Death in medieval England, a huntsman named Frost is accused of assault after his forbidden romance with the noblewoman Agnes is discovered by her father, Lord William. To protect his family’s reputation and political standing, Lord William forces Agnes to deny their love and arranges for Frost to face imprisonment and eventual death. Frost escapes and journeys through plague-ravaged forests toward a safe camp at Lockwood while two knights, Dain and Hugo, hunt him under conflicting beliefs about faith, morality, and whether Frost truly carries disease. Along the way, the men encounter starving plague survivors, violent bandits, and a mysterious woman named Beatrice, whose supposed cures and influence blur the line between superstition and survival.
